Amplius INITIATIVES

Zambia Bekazulu Limestone Mine

In September 2022, The Amplius Group contracted GTD Mining and its subsidiary Bekazulu Mining to drill a borehole and develop a well for a local community near the Limestone Concession under a Bekazulu license. The concession is north of Petauke in Lusangaze District, Eastern Province of Zambia.

Global Water Solutions technology identified three water aquifers. After consulting with local partners, they selected the aquifer nearest the mining concession. The provided technical data indicates that the aquifer contains 350 million liters of water.

During this site visit, the KulaDAO team also recorded and verified the process of Bekazulu's mining operation and the quality of their product. KulaDAO is investing into its first “RegionalDAO” project with Bekazulu, and has formally signed a contract for 14% of the billion-dollar asset.

Bekazulu is mining limestone. Offtake agreements will supply the nation and region with a resource utilized primarily in the refinement of copper and cobalt, but also for agricultural, water, and construction industries.

Finally, Amplius is committed to the meaningful governance of such assets with local participation. 10% of Bekazulu’s limestone mine is committed to community management and engagement.

Our commitment remains to our partners in Zambia, and we will continue to explore and invest together to frame a new pathway to see transformation among these communities.

Zambia Bekazulu Well Drilling and Community Development

As part of the Bekazulu’s commitment to the local community, their commercial partnership with Amplius to develop commercial mining capacity includes drilling and providing fresh, clean water for surrounding villages.

This region of Zambia experiences significant water stress. The national agricultural plan disregards it due to insufficient water supply.

In May 2023, they completed the final components of the project. These components include the water tower, 10,000-liter water tank, solar panels, and electric pump.

At the time of installation, they found the water in the aquifer at 15 meters, indicating that the deep-water aquifer was replenishing and filling with rainfall, and will continue to supply the region with fresh water, and open new agricultural and social possibilities, long into the future.

Sudan Humanitarian Work

Amplius is working in close partnership with Nazir Abusin, chief of chiefs of the Shukria people, to bring an abundant supply of clean, reliable water to As Sufayya.

He and his council of elders selected this small village in the desertified Butana region of eastern Sudan as the most water-deficient in his tribe’s lands.

Our focus is on a comprehensive, long-term initiative, starting with an initial well tapping into a large, self-renewing aquifer we located just outside the village - sufficient to provide drinking water, hygiene stations, and water for domestic livestock. Water will unlock the door to irrigation and intensive agriculture along with an array of essential services and development opportunities, enabling this community to re-imagine its future even as they face into the region’s worst drought in over 50 years.

Sudan Crisis Fundraising

Amplius is working with trusted local partners to get aid directly to local communities affected by the ongoing civil war.

We are bypassing corruption and government inefficiency to bring money, food, medical supplies, and other necessities to those who need them most.

World Wide Generation Consulting

Amplius worked with WWG in 2021 and 2022 to develop a rigorous dataset and methodology to support their revolutionary project verification and oversight software platform.

Our team provided strategic support, database development, and international standards compliance to help them expand their software to encompass enterprise-level social development and humanitarian projects.

Moggerhanger Cultural Consulting

Amplius is working with the Moggerhanger community to help them evaluate and assess the cultural values and future direction as they work to implement their legacy of cultural impact in new ways.

Kula DAO Partnership

Amplius is working in close partnership with Kula DAO to identify, establish, and implement tokenized commercial and humanitarian initiatives across Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.

Current focuses include mineral concessions, agricultural development, and water development projects in Zambia and Zimbabwe.
